The rise of the sea after the 6.6-magnitude earthquake in Izmir caused damage to many boats in the port. The extent of the damage caused by the earthquake was revealed by the aerial images taken by a drone.

After the earthquake that occurred off the coast of Seferihisar district of Izmir, the houses and workplaces were filled with water due to the overflow of the sea in the district, the municipal teams, and their own means evacuated the water.

Tables and chairs of many workplaces in Sıgacık District, an important touristic area of the district, were flooded. It was stated that some cars caught in floodwaters in the region fell into the sea. Many boats in the harbor lay on their side in the sea they sailed by breaking their ropes. Raking boats and some vehicles caught in the water were viewed with a drone.

Deniz Tufan, 68, one of the business owners in the region, stated that he was at the seaside at that time and said, "I saw that there was no water in the big sea, we did not understand what was happening. Such water came into the streets. It was like a burst water pipe. He took whatever came in front of him. I got caught and hit the pole. " said.

SHIPS BROKE ITS ROPES

An 80-year-old old woman said, "I was sitting with my children. It is such a tragedy that I can't tell. The ships pulled off their ropes. I saw the water came on us. We couldn't escape. We couldn't escape. Water was coming from every street. We threw ourselves into a difficult place. We lived outside until the morning." he spoke
