Banesco informed its clients this Thursday of the launch of the new Green Account, which is nothing more than an unpaid account in foreign currency for natural and legal persons with more than 6 months of seniority in the bank.

Through a statement published on its website, Banesco indicated that “the Green Account is a robust and secure response to the growing transactionality in foreign currency that is registered in the country. It comes to facilitate the daily life of the Venezuelan and the operation of the trade, based on what has been a historical strength of the bank, the means of payment, "said the bank's president, Jose Grasso Vecchio.

The Natural Person Green Account establishes a maximum balance of $ 2,000; Allowable deposits and withdrawals range from $ 100 to $ 1,000; the maximum daily transfer amount is $ 500 and allows a maximum of 10 operations per day.

Regarding the legal entity, the Green Account establishes a maximum balance of $ 30,000; allowed deposits and withdrawals range from $ 500 to $ 5,000; the maximum daily transfer amount is $ 8,500 and allows a maximum of 15 operations per day.

“For about a year, forms of payment in foreign currency have been promoted in the Venezuelan economy, even so, that people can deposit their families. That is why we do not see that any inconvenience is going to occur, "said the president of Banesco.

Those interested in opening a Green Account can do so online, according to the web portal itself, through the My Requests portal, an innovation framed in the digital transformation process carried out by the financial institution.

The account is opened and activated when a dollar is received. Grasso Vecchio said that Banesco will give a reasonable time that maybe 90 days, in which, if it does not receive deposits in the account, it will close. There will be the possibility of making deposits in dollars in the bank's agencies, as well as withdrawing cash.
