It was alleged that the army and other security units had been given a "red alert" in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
Some security sources in the country claimed that the army and all other security units were given a "red alert" on the instructions of Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazimi.
Making a written statement on the allegations, Prime Ministry Military Spokesperson Yahya Resul stated that the allegations were baseless.
Noting that the security situation in the capital is stable, Resul stated that the alarm given to the security forces is a daily routine activity.
